Hardware common platform and function-specific cards

ARKENS SV is designed to protect electrical structures such as lines, transformers, generators or motors. This IED enables Sampled Values data to be sent or subscribed according to IEC 61869-9 backwards compatible 61850-9-2LE. Based on the ARKENS SV hardware platform and selected electronic boards, ARKENS SV can provide all acquisition, protection and control functionalities (PIU, SAMU, SCU, BCU, BPU etc.) on Process Bus networks.

Description

The ARKENS SV IED hardware base is available in 2 formats:

  • 42 TE / 6U: this equipment format accommodates up to 5 interface boards
  • 84 TE / 6U: this equipment format can accommodate up to 13 interface boards.

Available with 2 types of HMI:

  • Simplified HMI with only 16 configurable signal LEDs
  • Graphical HMI with 4 function keys, 16 LED indicators and a configurable graphic screen, enabling commands to be issued from a synoptic, internal states to be displayed, and parameters to be consulted and modified.
