Avignon Tramway

The PMGI is an innovative SIL4 signaling system for rail and urban transport which has been in operational service on the Avignon tramway since 2020.
The PMGI performs interlocking functions for train maneuvering whilst ensuring control and supervision functions.
It is a BGS application, certified SIL 4 by Certifer.

Designed both for new lines and for existing infrastructure upgrades, the PMGI guarantees a high level of safety for tram traffic, including in highly sensitive areas where trains need to maneuver when passing switches – operations on which the smooth running of the tramway depends entirely. PMGI has been developed in collaboration with INEO UTS.
