Successful commisioning of SNCF switching relays

As part of a bid to modernize safety equipment used on the Paris-Lyon High Speed Line, SNCF Réseau wished to develop a system which would allow signal campaigns to switch automatically between old and new stations in SIL2 safety mode.

Our Marseille Agency has therefore developed a Y configuration relay switching system that will save time on the various tests, and which can be easily dismantled and reused.

Following the successful EMC testing of the prototypes, performed in compliance with 50121-4, and a one year development phase, the first in-situ tests are now underway, in collaboration with SNCF Réseau, at a new PR CI 73 switching station in Marne-la-Vallée.

The goal is to record relay switching operations and to monitor faults during one month.
SNCF Réseau appreciated the design of the equipment which is quick to install and easy to handle. The feedback on this test campaign is very positive.

Since then, we have been authorized to deliver the equipment for installation on all switching stations.
