We look back at the Rail Open Lab plenary session held in Marseille in May
On Friday May 5, the Rail Open Lab and all its members met in our Marseille office to gauge the progress of our sprints and the association's new projects.
Rail Open Lab held its plenary session in our Marseilles office on Friday May 5.
The Rail Open Lab has been organizing monthly plenary sessions for the past 5 years. These forums for sharing ideas take place at the premises of its various industrial partners or founders and are designed to give them a status report on how the sprints and the association’s various new projects are progressing.
The Rail Open Lab and its members visited SCLE’s Marseille production unit to look at:
- Transformer and toroid winding, electronic board manufacturing
- Mechanical assembly, wiring, shrinking, soldering, testing and burn-in of electronic equipment
- Rapid prototyping of electronic boards and Proof of Concepts (POC) using 3D printers, digital milling machines and SMD furnaces.
In this instance, they also got to see our Digital TCO solution at our Digital Innovation department, a product designed in conjunction with Vossloh Cogifer and SNCF Réseau.
It was a great day for all which forged closer ties between the different members of the team.
